Job summary

Nscale is seeking a Staff Security Engineer - Network Security to define and implement network security patterns across corporate, OT/BMS, production management, customer management, telemetry, and internet access paths. You’ll work across data centers, colocation sites, offices, and production networks, creating repeatable baselines that support fast deployment in real-world conditions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network security and related engineering roles.
• Hands-on routing, switching, segmentation, firewalls, and WAN experience.
• Experience designing or reviewing secure networks across data centers and distributed infra.
• Experience securing OT/BMS, industrial or facilities networks with safety requirements.
• Strong understanding of zero-trust, identity-aware access, least privilege, and explicit authorization.
• Ability to translate diagrams into trust boundaries, flows, controls, and risk decisions.
• Ability to collaborate with IT, facilities, and third-party providers; deploy reusable standards.

Responsibilities

• Define data center network security reference architecture across multiple network domains.
• Establish trust boundaries and determine untrusted/privileged networks and required flows.
• Translate diagrams into boundaries, flows, controls, monitoring, and risk decisions.
• Create policy that keeps corporate networks internet-enabled without becoming privileged access zones.
• Design segmentation patterns, firewall Principles, routing controls, and NAC requirements.
• Review new designs before implementation and set deployment gates with third parties.
• Define telemetry, logging, and detection requirements; collaborate across teams for secure operations.
