Job summary

Venteon in Detroit is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to steward the organization’s IT infrastructure, including network, servers, virtualization, cloud, storage, and security. The role emphasizes design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of enterprise LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewalls, with a focus on resilience and risk reduction.

You will administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services while monitoring

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/certifications.
5+ years of enterprise IT experience preferred with networking focus.
Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, administer, and support enterprise network, server, storage, virtualization, cloud, and data center infrastructure.
Manage LAN/WAN, VPN, wireless, routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, and network security.
Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, authentication, and related services.
Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and security; troubleshoot complex issues.
Support backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
Coordinate with vendors and maintain technical documentation.
