Job summary

JCS Solutions LLC seeks a Principal Network Security Engineer to design and implement enterprise network security for a large DoD network. You will lead strategic engineering efforts, advance zero-trust and segmentation, and guide teams through modernization while coordinating with stakeholders.

The role requires hands-on engineering with firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, encryption, and secure connectivity, plus DoD 8140/8570 IAT II certification and a Secret clearance. Ft. Meade, MD-based position.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II certification.
• 12+ years of relevant network security experience.
• Experience leading security engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement enterprise network security architectures.
• Lead network security projects from concept through implementation.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to engineers and analysts.
• Communicate security decisions and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain design documentation, runbooks, and validation packages.
