Job summary

State of South Carolina is seeking a Network Security Analyst (Consultant) for the Office of Cybersecurity / SCDHHS. This 12-month, fully onsite role is located at 1801 Main Street, Columbia, SC 29201, with interviews conducted virtually.

The candidate must reside in SC and be able to work within state government cybersecurity operations. The role focuses on hands-on network design, security best practices, and collaboration with leadership and vendors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, information systems, Cybersecurity, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• A network security centric certification such as PCNSE or CCNA.

Responsibilities

• Support SCDHHS leadership, business units, partners, and vendors in day-to-day cybersecurity operations.
• Hands-on technical role reporting to the Office of Cybersecurity SOC lead.
• Contribute independently on technical tasks and assist senior analysts on complex initiatives.
