Job summary

L3Harris Technologies seeks a Senior Network Planning Engineer to design, deploy, and modernize mission-critical networks in secure environments. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable performance, security, and compliance across LAN/WAN/MAN and cloud boundaries.

Ideal candidates have extensive network engineering experience, DoD or IC programs familiarity, and the ability to obtain/maintain necessary security clearances. This onsite role is located in Herndon, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field.
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one.
• IAT Level II minimum certification (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, or equivalent) within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, evaluate, and maintain network architecture and planning strategies for secure enterprise and mission networks.
• Design and recommend network solutions for LAN, WAN, MAN, wireless, and hybrid environments.
• Analyze network performance and availability metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including diagrams and implementation plans.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and program stakeholders to ensure security and compliance.
