Job summary

American Airlines is seeking an Analyst/Sr Analyst for Network Planning Projects at our Fort Worth, TX HQ. You will partner with cross-functional teams to build and apply network planning models, forecast demand, and optimize scheduling and capacity.

The role emphasizes SQL and Python, data pipelines, and communicating insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. A bachelor’s in a related field and 2–5 years of analytics experience are preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of network planning tools and systems with IT to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Collaborate with Operations Research to guide forecasting, simulation, and optimization models
• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate scenarios and inform network/scheduling decisions
• Perform deep-dive data analyses to validate model outputs and inform decisions
• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, automation workflows, and user-facing tools
• Leverage SQL, Python, and data platforms to improve efficiency and accuracy of network planning
• Ensure data and model outputs reliability through testing and validation
• Communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
