Job summary

SMS Data Products Group, Inc. seeks a Sr. Telecommunications Specialist to support the Base Infrastructure Modernization contract on site at the Air National Guard location. The role provides on-site Tier 2 support augmenting CS personnel in operating legacy NIPR and SIPR networks.

The position is temporary for 9–12 months, requiring DoD Secret clearance and certifications (Security+ CE, A+ CE). Office is on-site; responsive and ready for contingency operations as mission essential personnel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in telecommunications or related field.
• Experience supporting DoD or government networks is preferred.
• Certifications: Security+ CE and A+ CE required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site Tier 2 support augmenting CS personnel for legacy Base Area Network infrastructure.
• Field, troubleshoot, configure network devices, and monitor performance.
• Respond to EITSM tickets from System Administrators and Communications Focal Point staff.
• Install, maintain, and repair network and telecommunications equipment including switches, routers, and fiber optics.
• Support security patching and configuration management per vendor guidance.
• Coordinate with BIM Vendor Tier 3/4 and participate in change management.
• Participate in configuration control board meetings; be on-call 24/7 as mission essential.
• Collaborate with CS Network Control Center personnel.
