Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer/Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise network infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, performance, and security across LAN/WAN, data centers, and cloud connectivity.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, and IT operations teams, mentor engineers, and drive automation using Python and Ansible to deliver scalable, resilient networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s in CS/IT/EC or related field.
• 5–10 years in network engineering or IT infrastructure with leadership.
• Expertise in enterprise architecture: routing, switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, LAN/WAN, wireless.
• Hands-on with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet or equivalents.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, segmentation, access control.
• Design for high availability, redundancy, failover, DR.
• Familiar with SD-WAN, SDN, data center networking; cloud networking.
• Scripting and automation: Python, Ansible, APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Develop network architecture and engineering strategies aligned with business needs.
• Manage LAN/WAN, routing, switching, wireless networks, VPNs, SD-WAN, data center connectivity.
• Oversee configuration and administration of routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, wireless controllers.
• Implement network security policies, access controls, segmentation, firewall rules, IPS, secure remote access.
• Monitor network performance, capacity planning, troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, technology refreshes, and expansion projects.
• Design resilient architectures with redundancy, failover, DR capabilities.
• Drive network automation using Python, Ansible, APIs, SDN.
• Manage cloud networking across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Establish standards, baselines, docs, change management.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management.
