Job summary

Black Eagle Defense is seeking a Network Engineer III in the United States (Fort Meade area) to design, implement, maintain, and upgrade complex networks. You will analyze design specs, drive network performance improvements, and support a software engineering environment with advanced dataflow management.

The role requires extensive experience with Cisco devices, Linux/Windows administration, and security certifications.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
• A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university is required.
• Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of 3 years as a Network Engineer within the last 3 years.
• CCNA or CCNP certification is required, as well as a Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

• Develops algorithms used in modules or incorporated into models associated with the research and development of technologies and systems.
• Configure and maintain the organization's network diagrams and accreditations.
• Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulations.
• Design, integrate, test, and deploy solutions to established network issues.
• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
• Coordinate with dataflow organizations and end-customer recipients to mitigate impacts on system-wide dataflow.
• Implement network solutions to support server requirements including VPNs, firewalls, NAT, VoIP, IPSec, and related technologies.
• Lead large efforts of dynamic requirements and scale; resolve complex network problems.
