Job summary

Quantum Sky is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Washington, DC to provide advanced technical leadership for enterprise network architecture, engineering, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting. On-site five days; Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 8+ years of general work experience / 6+ years relevant “functional” experience
• CCNP Enterprise (routing and switching) or CCNP Security (or equivalent vendor-neutral advanced certification) strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience architecting large-scale, highly available network environments
• Deep expertise in routing, switching, network security, and often SD-WAN/cloud networking
• Strong project leadership and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Design and lead implementation of enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN/data center)
• Lead complex network projects, including migrations, redesigns, and capacity expansions
• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation for critical network outages
• Establish network standards, configuration baselines, and best practices
• Evaluate and recommend new network technologies and vendors

Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Senior Network Engineer to provide advanced technical leadership for enterprise network architecture, engineering, implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting. The position is responsible for complex network environments and provides technical guidance for modernization, resiliency, security, and performance initiatives. The person in this role also serves as the top technical escalation point for network issues.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead implementation of enterprise network architecture (LAN/WAN/data center)
• Lead complex network projects, including migrations, redesigns, and capacity expansions
• Serve as the highest-level technical escalation for critical network outages
• Establish network standards, configuration baselines, and best practices

Clearance

• An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

Location and Schedule

• This position is onsite at the customer location in Washington, DC. The environment requires onsite support five days per week, with some flexibility in scheduling based on program and customer requirements. Core business hours are 8am-4pm.

Salary Range

Compensation

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $145,000-$155,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
