Job summary

Ansfederal is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer for our Chantilly, VA location. The role involves network architecture transition, interpreting customer requirements, and developing secure network designs. Candidates must have 16 years of experience related to network engineering, including specific expertise with Cisco and routing protocols. Qualifications

• 16 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education.
• Must be compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2.
• Experience specific to network engineering to include Tier III or higher network operations.

Responsibilities

• Interpret customer requirements and apply industry standard design approaches.
• Evaluate new technologies and test proposed changes in a private test lab.
• Schedule maintenance for migrating user connections with minimal impact.

Skills

Network engineering experience

Experience with Cisco, Brocade, Juniper

Troubleshooting routing protocols (OSPF, BGP)

Working knowledge of DNS

Experience in a CAN/LAN environment

Education

Doctorate or equivalent experience

Master’s degree plus 10 years experience

Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years experience

Associate's plus 14 years experience

HS diploma plus 16 years experience
