TEKsystems in Annapolis, MD is seeking an experienced Network Engineer / Technical Training Lead to drive complex network implementations and build a scalable training program. The role blends hands-on Cisco routing and WAN engineering with mentoring and curriculum development in a global context.

The position is contract-to-hire, hybrid in Annapolis, with a pay range of $65.00-$75.00 per hour. Candidates should have CCNA/CCNP preferred, 8+ years of network experience, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional network engineering experience.
• 5+ years with Cisco routers/switches in production WAN environments.
• Experience designing and implementing technical training programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end network implementations including design, configuration, testing, deployment, and cutover.
• Collaborate with domestic and international customers on reliable, scalable network solutions.
• Configure, deploy, and support Cisco routers and switches in production WANs.
• Design and implement routing solutions using BGP, OSPF, MPLS, NAT, VPN.
• Develop router configurations using standardized templates and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues via packet captures, logs, and monitoring tools.
• Provide technical leadership during escalations and act as SME for network issues.
• Mentor junior engineers to enhance capability and operational consistency.
• Create, design, and maintain training curriculum, materials, and documentation.
• Deliver technical training sessions across global teams.
• Support continuous improvement of network operations and standards.
