Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support infrastructure modernization of base networks. The role covers site surveys, design, and installation across ISP/OSP, WAN, and LAN within a Global Enterprise Network Modernization contract.

Location is High Point, NC, US. The ideal candidate has a BA/BS, 7+ years of experience securing networks and architectures, and certifications including DoD 8140 IAT II, Security+ or CCNA-SEC, plus CCNP/JNCP.

Qualifications

• A university degree (BA/BS) is required.
• 7+ years of related work experience, including designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
• Experience with drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD is required.
• DoD 8140 IAT II Baseline Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or CCNA-SEC) and a CCNP/JNCP or equivalent certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead site surveys and engineering teams in the design of modernized network architecture.
• Review and analyze network management and monitoring tools to provide network topology, configuration, and bandwidth utilization.
• Support the creation of network architectures, topology diagrams, and data flow artifacts using tools like Visio for wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.
• Develop Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP) and a corresponding List of Materials (LOM).
• Provide technical LOE for survey, design, and implementation to support resource-loaded schedules.
• Participate in internal and external technical discussions for multiple global time zones.
• Design, implement, and document secure network architectures, including compliance checklists and documentation.
• Ensure all installations meet industry safety standards and that sites are restored to their original or better condition.
