Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching to support the DODNet Migration Execution Services program at Fort Meade, Maryland. You will lead enterprise network design, implementation, and modernization across LAN/WAN/MAN/CAN, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable solutions for DoD mission systems.

You will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cybersecurity, RMF, systems engineering, and operations teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II cert plus one of CCIE, CCDE, CISSP, CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat, or MCTS.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise routing and switching; migration and modernization initiatives.
• U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance.

Job description

NOVA-Dine is seeking a Senior Network Engineer - Routing & Switching to support the Defense Enclave Services (DES) DODNet Migration Execution Services (MES-NET) program at Fort Meade, Maryland.

This position will serve as a senior technical lead responsible for the design, implementation, integration, modernization, and sustainment of enterprise network infrastructure supporting Department of Defense mission systems. The selected candidate will lead routing and switching initiatives across complex enterprise environments and support the migration of Fourth Estate agencies into the DODNet architecture.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for enterprise LAN, WAN, MAN, and CAN environments; ensure compliance with DoD and industry networking standards; evaluate network performance and architecture requirements; and collaborate closely with cybersecurity, systems engineering, operations, and migration teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable network solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, integration, and modernization of enterprise network infrastructure supporting DODNet migration efforts.
• Design and maintain enterprise routing and switching architectures for large-scale LAN, WAN, MAN, and CAN environments.
• Support migration and integration of routing, switching, firewall, VPN, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, VLAN, wireless, AAA, and network services.
• Establish and analyze network information requirements and develop solutions that support current and future operational needs.
• Ensure network solutions comply with applicable DoD, IEEE, ISO, OSI, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Evaluate network utilization, workflow efficiency, performance, and capacity requirements and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation, implementation plans, network diagrams, migration plans, and technical procedures.
• Coordinate network upgrades, cutovers, migrations, and infrastructure implementation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues across enterprise environments.
• Support configuration management and change control processes utilizing approved ITSM tools.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, RMF, systems engineering, and operations teams to ensure secure and compliant network operations.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and daily direction to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Participate in engineering reviews, technical briefings, operational transition activities, and executive-level reporting.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience , OR
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Required Certifications

• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification
• At least one of the following certifications:
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
  • Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CompTIA Linux+
  • Red Hat Certification
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)

Required Experience

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise routing and switching environments.
• Experience with enterprise LAN/WAN architectures and network infrastructure engineering.
• Experience with routing protocols, switching technologies, VPNs, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, VLANs, and network segmentation.
• Experience implementing and supporting complex network migrations and modernization initiatives.
• Experience developing technical documentation, implementation plans, and engineering artifacts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Active Secret clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DISA, DODNet, or other large Department of Defense enterprise environments.
• Experience supporting enterprise migration and modernization programs.
• Experience with SIPRNet and NIPRNet environments.
• Experience with network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Experience utilizing ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
• Additional Cisco networking certifications (CCNP, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, etc.).

Salary Range: $110,000 to $128,000

The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position’s responsibilities, the candidate’s education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
