In this role, you’ll bring your expertise in routing protocols, hands-on troubleshooting, and solution deployment to ensure a seamless transition to next-generation networking infrastructure. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with our customers to help them adhere to standards and mentor across our team of engineers, fostering growth and teamwork to achieve shared success.

Exempt Salary position based upon experience & skill level (weekly salary broken down hourly)

Primary Responsibilities:
Lead Network Deployment Activities: Architect, design, and implement network switch refreshes across enterprise environments and remote offices, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Mentor and Guide Engineers: Share knowledge and provide hands-on mentorship to all team members, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes skill development and innovation.
Hands-On Troubleshooting: Resolve complex networking issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
Optimize Network Solutions: Develop deployment strategies and configurations for switching and routing solutions, leveraging industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.
Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with Release and Project Managers, Smart Hands resources, and clients to ensure smooth execution of deployment plans.
Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create detailed documentation of system designs, configurations, and processes for both internal and client use.
Proactive Innovation: Continuously research and implement new networking technologies to enhance performance, reduce costs, and improve reliability.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical Expertise:
High proficiency in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS) and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
Strong experience with switching technologies, including Nexus, Catalyst Switches, spine-leaf and SDA architecture.
Hands-on experience in Managing and deploying SDA (Wired & Wireless infrastructure) using Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNAC)
Strong knowledge on VxLAN and LISP.
Hands-on experience on LAN technologies including QoS and Dot1x.
Knowledge on Cisco ISE.
Familiarity with DMZ, Firewall, load balancer, and DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP Schema).
Leadership and Mentorship:
Proven ability to mentor and work with existing engineers to build strong, collaborative teams.
Strong decision-making skills with a focus on achieving measurable results.
Innovation and Attention to Detail:
A passion for seeking new, better ways of doing things, with a meticulous focus on detail.
A proactive mindset to identify and resolve potential issues before they arise.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience preferred.
10–15 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on deployment and implementation.
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent (Cisco/Arista certifications preferred).
Experience working in production data centers, Enterprise Networks routing/switching, and firewalls.
Proficiency with networking tools and technologies, including ERP, MS Office, and service management platforms.
