Deploy has been retained to fill a Network Engineer II role for an onsite position in Birmingham, AL. The role leads design, security, and operational integrity of the organization’s network in a regulated financial environment.

This position combines advanced engineering with leadership responsibilities, ensuring secure, compliant and resilient business operations for critical data and processes.

Qualifications

• Advanced routing and switching with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP.
• Strong knowledge of network security: firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation.
• Experience with secure design in compliance-driven networks; cloud networking (Azure, AWS) and hybrid architectures; monitoring and alerting tools.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, implementation, and lifecycle management of secure network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/VPN/Wireless).
• Serve as the technical lead for initiatives including modernization, segmentation, and secure access architecture.
• Supervise and mentor Network Engineer I staff, including delegation and performance management.
• Ensure network architecture and operations align with regulatory requirements (FFIEC, GLBA, SOC2).
• Develop, implement, and enforce network security standards, including firewall policies and access controls.
• Partner with Information Security for risk assessments, remediation, and audit activities.
• Oversee network monitoring, incident response, and root cause analysis with timely resolution.
• Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, including resilience and failover.
