Piper Companies in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to support a government-focused technology environment. The role leads architecture discussions, drives network automation, and supports mission-critical operations onsite five days a week.

Strong experience with enterprise networking and data center infrastructure is required. Requires TS/SCI clearance and 8+ years of networking experience; CCIE preferred.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking.
• CCIE preferred; CCNP Data Center considered.
• Strong experience with routing, switching, SD-WAN, data center, and security.
• Hands-on with Python, Ansible, APIs, Docker, GitHub, Linux and Windows Server.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize enterprise network and data center infrastructure.
• Lead troubleshooting for routing, switching, security, and performance.
• Advise stakeholders by translating requirements into scalable network solutions.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency using Python, Ansible, APIs, and tools.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate on modernization and migration projects.
