• Familiarity with common protocols: TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, SMTP.
• Understand firewall configs, IDS/IPS and encryption techniques.
• Experience with RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP and STP, VTP, EtherChannel.
• Proficient in network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, Zabbix.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Networking Devices: Familiarity with networking devices like routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN appliances, and understanding their functionalities and configurations.
• Network Protocols: Knowledge of common network protocols including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, etc.
• Network Security: Understanding of common security threats and attack vectors, as well as knowledge of security measures such as firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), encryption techniques, etc.
