Job summary

Primary Talent Partners has an opening for a Network Engineer IV on a 12-month contract across multiple US locations, including Plainfield, IN. The role emphasizes WAN/MPLS design, Cisco ecosystem, and enterprise routing infrastructure.

Travel to alternate headquarter locations is required, up to 5%. You will design, implement, and maintain complex networks, contribute to security and automation efforts, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus minimum five years IT experience with at least four years designing and supporting Cisco products.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum ten years IT experience with at least five years designing and supporting Cisco products.
• Experience with network capacity planning and security principles.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and coordination skills.
• Adherence to Change Management practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network solutions across MPLS, WAN, data center, and wireless environments.
• Develop network architectures, reference designs, templates, and operational docs.
• Support Cisco-based solutions including Catalyst, Nexus, ACI, SD-WAN, and cloud services.
• Lead MPLS, BGP, OSPF, EVPN, QoS, and large-scale routing/switching projects.
• Design and support VPN, SD-WAN, SASE, and zero-trust access solutions.
• Develop network automation using Python, Ansible, and APIs; perform RCA and telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with architects, security, operations, and vendors; mentor junior engineers.
