Job summary

Walt Disney Animation Studios seeks a Senior Network Engineer to join the Network Services team in supporting the studio's data networks both on premises in Burbank and cloud environments. You will design, implement, and maintain complex networking systems, engage with stakeholders, and ensure secure, high-performance connectivity for production workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and implementing network solutions for large-scale, high-performance compute and storage environments.
• Expert-level knowledge of Layer 1–4 networking technologies and protocols including Ethernet, VLAN tagging, MLAG/LACP, VPC, VPNs, DHCP, DNS, NTP, and SNMP.
• Experience with Linux/macOS and other Unix-like systems, plus strong network security and access control know-how.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask in a complex production environment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and optimize systems and services on on-premises network infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Configure networking across multiple vendors (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto) and operating systems.
• Collaborate with the Technology team on security, performance, and policy improvements.
• Provide 24x7 operational support, root-cause analysis, and documentation of processes.
