Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer specializing in load balancing and firewall technologies to support enterprise network infrastructure and security operations. The role focuses on Palo Alto Networks firewalls and F5 BIG-IP or comparable ADC platforms across distributed and hybrid cloud environments.

The candidate will lead design, deployment, administration, and optimization to ensure secure, reliable, and high performing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and manage enterprise load balancing platforms (F5 BIG-IP, Citrix ADC, HAProxy, NGINX, AWS/Azure).
• Design and maintain NGFW infrastructure with PAN-OS and other vendors.
• Develop and enforce firewall rulesets and policies using Palo Alto Panorama.
• Manage SSL/TLS termination, health checks, and high availability configurations.
• Lead incident response for firewall and ADC outages and security events.
