Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer- IPv6 for a 4 year contract in Herndon, VA. The position requires strong IPv6 expertise and hands-on experience with network assessment, design, testing, and implementation initiatives.

Key responsibilities include assessing IPv6 readiness, designing IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks, developing HLD/LLD and topology diagrams, and coordinating with security, systems, and application teams to ensure end-to-end IPv6 compatibility.

Formación

• Senior Network Engineer with strong IPv6 expertise.
• Experience designing and implementing IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks.
• Ability to develop HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, and routing policies.
• Experience with IPv6 multicast, NAT64/DNS64, and QoS.

Responsabilidades

• Assess network infrastructure for IPv6 readiness and identify gaps.
• Design and implement IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks and scalable IPv6 addressing plans.
• Develop HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, routing policies, and migration plans.
• Support IPv6 multicast routing, tunneling, NAT64/DNS64, and QoS.
• Perform lab testing, PoCs, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Work with security, systems, and application teams on end-to-end IPv6 compatibility.
• Serve as an IPv6 SME, mentor engineers, and support CAB/change management activities.

Rate Range: $70/hr.-$75/hr.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
