Job summary

iQuasar LLC is seeking a Senior Network & Data Center Engineer in Hawaii for a long-term contract. The role focuses on design, deployment and support of data center routing and switching, with extensive EVPN/VXLAN and leaf-spine experience.

You will migrate to Arista/Cisco/Juniper as needed and develop automation using Ansible and Python. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data center networking, CCIE DC/SP or equivalent, and strong customer-facing communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS or related field.
• CCIE DC/SP or similar certification required.
• 10+ years in data center networking with leaf-spine architectures.
• Strong knowledge of BGP/MP-BGP, EVPN, VXLAN/L2VNI/L3VNI.
• Automation experience with Ansible and Python.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, deployment, and operation for large Data Center networks.
• Review EVPN/VXLAN designs and advise on deployments.
• Interconnect Cisco, Juniper, and Arista environments.
• Develop network provisioning automation using Ansible and Python.
• Support testing, POC, and change controls.
• Suggest architecture improvements and work with TAC/internal teams.

Job Description

We are looking to hire a Senior Network & Data Center Engineer who will be part of our Professional Services Organization to provide support, guidance and assistance to address specific customer needs. In this position, you will be working as a technology expert in the Data Center Routing & Switching space to design, implement, and support (troubleshoot) the deployments within a customer infrastructure. The ideal candidate will also have a level of comfort communicating across all functions within the organization, as well as with clients and partners. Previous Service Provider experience is a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for large Data Center networking deployment for a large customer.
• Review customer network designs for an EVPN, VxLAN, leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deployments
• Migrate or interconnect to/from Cisco, Juniper and other vendors to Arista infrastructure
• Assist with configuration build outs including creating network provisioning automation using Python and tools such as Chef or Ansible.
• Assist with implementation and change controls
• Assist with proof of concepts (POC) and in-depth testing to validate design scenario
• Provide bug scrubs and code recommendations
• Provide interface to TAC and internal development teams and the customer
• Provide customer advice regarding architectural questions as required
• Translate complex business requirements into Leaf-Spine Network solutions
• Design Network solutions utilizing extensive experience with routing protocols including advanced BGP design as well as extensive EVPN/VXLAN experience.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Understand the client’s business objectives and technical needs
• Some travel may be required.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience
• Network Industry Certification (e.g. ACE L3, ACE L5, CCIE (DC/SP)
• 10+ years minimum working experience with network technologies including network design and deployments of Data Center networks. Knowledge of leaf-spine architectures highly desired.
• Knowledge and Experience in BGP/MP-BGP, VxLAN, EVPN, L2VNI Stretching, L3VNI Routing (symmetrical vs. asymmetrical) is a MUST
• Automation: Ansible, Python

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Excellent written skills and the ability to do related documentation and ticket tracking of opportunities/meeting follow-up.
