Job summary

VT Group (VTG) in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support mission-critical operations. The role blends network engineering with mobile forensics and modern communications technologies to solve complex technical challenges for our customer.

You will perform advanced network engineering, use Wireshark for packet capture and analysis, conduct mobile device forensics, and apply WebRTC, NAT, and firewall traversal techniques such as STUN, ICE, TURN.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with Top Secret clearance.
• Master's degree in an applicable field or equivalent technical experience.
• 4+ years of network engineering experience, including use of Wireshark for troubleshooting and packet analysis.
• 4+ years of experience performing forensic extractions and analysis on mobile devices using commercial forensic tools.
• Working knowledge of WebRTC NAT/firewall traversal (STUN, ICE, TURN).
• Knowledge of VOIP and related protocols.
• Active CISSP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced network engineering and troubleshooting tasks using Wireshark.
• Conduct forensic extractions and analysis on mobile devices with commercial forensic tools.
• Apply WebRTC knowledge including NAT/firewall traversal (STUN/ICE/TURN).
• Support and troubleshoot VOIP systems and related protocols.
• Collaborate to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and certification standards.
