Amentum in Fort Meade, MD is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support mission‑critical IT capabilities for the DoD DISA program, working in a SCIF at Ft. Meade with a focus on network design, security, and operations.

Qualifications

• CCNP certification required.
• Experience designing, configuring, troubleshooting and testing large-scale networks.
• Hands-on experience with IS-IS/OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS and DMVPN/SD-WAN.
• Experience with Cisco Firepower and Palo Alto firewalls (e.g., FP, Panorama).
• Experience deploying Cisco ISE and network security technologies.
• TS clearance with SCI eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and troubleshoot network and network security architecture.
• Analyze hardware requirements and prepare acquisition specifications.
• Provide engineering escalation support for LAN/WAN and security operations.
• Coordinate with IA security engineers to meet STIG requirements.
• Create and update technical documentation for integration projects.
• Provide deployment and sustainment documentation templates.
• Identify and diagnose complex performance and security issues.
• Operate autonomously or as part of a team on mission-critical projects.
