Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to help design, build, and operate Google’s global production network across multiple U.S. locations, including Thornton, CO and Atlanta, GA. The role emphasizes scalable network design, capacity planning, and close collaboration with software teams to automate workflows.

Strong scripting in Python/Go/C++ and experience with multi-site networks are essential. You will drive capacity augments and migrations while ensuring reliability and policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting.
• Experience in planning and designing networks across multiple sites and products.

Responsibilities

• Produce plans and designs to meet network infrastructure and capacity plans for the global production network.
• Communicate with internal business partners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering network capacity.
• Design solutions for high–bandwidth network delivery and contribute to automation roadmap to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
• Evolve business processes governing the design lifecycle and define governing policies.
