Job summary

Aurora is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to own network architecture and operations end to end across offices and facilities. You will design, deploy, and scale networks while leading security integrations and networking standards.

This role requires leadership in complex projects and collaboration with IT, Security, and other teams. The position is hybrid with on-call responsibilities and occasional travel to Aurora facilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, deploying, and operating enterprise networks in production.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS.
• Hands-on experience with Juniper, Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto, Fortinet at scale.
• Proven experience with 802.1X, RADIUS, NAC in enterprise wireless and access control.
• Strong automation skills with Python and IaC + version control.
• Ownership of complex cross‑functional network projects from design to deployment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication for both engineers and stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Aurora facilities and participate in on-call.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and operate network infrastructure across offices, manufacturing sites, and terminals.
• Lead enterprise network security implementations (802.1X, NAC, firewall policy).
• Own monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning for the network.
• Architect and scale LAN, WLAN, and VPN environments with routing protocols.
• Build network automation and IaC with Python and CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain network standards, diagrams, IPAM, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with IT, Security, and other teams for site requirements.
• Mentor engineers and review designs and changes.
• Support on-call rotation and planned maintenance windows.
