Job summary

City of Dublin, Ohio is seeking an experienced IT Network Administrator to monitor and manage its network, server, and storage infrastructure. You will handle backups, AD, and complex troubleshooting across LAN/WAN, VPNs, and cloud resources.

This role involves security implementation, incident response, and collaboration with vendors for project delivery. The position is office-based in Dublin, OH, requiring strong leadership, cross-team coordination, and a focus on mission-critical systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years supporting enterprise network environments or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain daily operation of network systems, servers, storage, backups, and AD.
• Troubleshoot complex network, system, and application issues across LAN/WAN and wireless.
• Support mission-critical environments including 911, VPN, cloud resources, and mobile computing.
• Respond to outages with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Escalate issues to ensure timely resolution and continuity.
• Design and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless.
• Lead lifecycle management: upgrades, EOL planning, redundancy, and expansions.
• Implement network and email security controls (firewalls, VPNs, endpoint protections).
• Collaborate on security initiatives and incident response; align with city policies.
• Lead IT projects: migrations, cloud transitions, security enhancements, integrations.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors for project success.
• Support large events and operational initiatives requiring IT infra.
• Participate in vendor evaluations and solution design discussions.
• Mentor IT support team and gather requirements from departments.
• participate in on-call rotation to support staff and community.
