Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own the design, deployment, and operational integrity of the enterprise network across LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, internet, and Google Cloud networking environments. You will participate in rotating on-call with nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency response, and provide on-site support in Long Island/Suffolk County.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of complex network issues and collaboration with security and IT teams to maintain

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
3-5 years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for engineering and integrity of the networking and communication system’s software, hardware, and configurations.
Identify, engineer/design, and program networking infrastructure and communication applications.
Develops knowledge base documents and conducts knowledge transfer among engineering team.
Assist in review and evaluation of project requests and recommend action.
Administers installation and repair services.
Responsible for first level problem resolution for all health system locations.
Provide guidance and direction to engineering team and outside service technicians.
