Job summary

CACI is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the NGA program, focusing on developing, modernizing, and sustaining transport services. You will assist the PMO with transport engineering requirements, design studies, and analyses of alternatives.

The role demands 10+ years of DoD-network experience, leadership, and expertise in routing protocols (BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/MPLS), QoS, VPNs, and secure cryptographic equipment. Excellent briefing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications, Engineering, or IT-related discipline.
• 10+ years of specialized experience in implementing, engineering, designing, or operating network technologies with DoD capabilities.
• Leadership experience as a senior engineer, functional manager, or team lead for at least 10 years.
• Experience modernizing complex enterprise networks deploying routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS) and network services.
• Experience presenting briefings to senior customer management and stakeholders.
• Specialized experience with QoS and Traffic Engineering models.
• Experience with Layer 2/3 VPNs including multicast VPN.
• Certification or 15+ years of Cisco/Juniper experience.
• Experience with NGA capabilities and IC/DoD cloud transitions.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise for design, development, and sustainment of transport services.
• Support analyses and planning for modernization of existing transport infrastructures.
• Drive strategic innovation across transport operations and service delivery.
• Offer high-level systems analysis and integration guidance for complex projects.
• Perform AoA studies to evaluate alternative technical solutions.
• Conduct design studies to assess feasibility and impact of network changes.
• Author white papers on emerging network technologies and best practices.
