Job summary
Saalex in Corona, CA is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the engineering, integration, operation, and sustainment of complex range systems and information networks for NSWC Corona Division programs. The role emphasizes remote work with periodic on-site support in Corona, CA.
Minimum 7 years in network engineering with DoD experience desired; extensive TCP/IP, routing, switching, fiber optics, and cybersecurity knowledge.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience in network engineering or related field.
- Active DoD security-related certifications preferred (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or Security+).
- Experience with complex networked systems, TCP/IP, routing, switching, and fiber optic networks.
Responsibilities
- Design, engineer, integrate, operate, and sustain network and telecommunications systems.
- Support LAN/WAN architectures, routing, switching, and secure communications.
- Support fiber optic systems, structured cabling, and IP-based communications.
- Integrate and support networked instrumentation and range systems.
- Troubleshoot network and system issues in lab and field environments.
- Support cybersecurity compliance, including STIGs and RMF activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Collaborate with systems, software, and hardware engineering teams.
- Support on-site integration, test events, and operational activities.
