Job summary

CACI is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support the NGA program, focusing on transport services modernization, operation, and sustainment. You will assist the PMO with transport engineering requirements, design studies, and AoA activities to evaluate alternatives and improve network performance.

The role requires a DoD-focused background, leadership experience, and extensive Cisco/Juniper expertise, with exposure to cloud transitions and secure network design best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant IT field.
• Specialized experience with implementing and operating DoD network technologies.
• Leadership experience as senior engineer or team lead for 10+ years.
• Experience modernizing complex enterprise networks with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/MPLS.
• Experience presenting briefings to senior management and stakeholders.
• Experience with QoS, Traffic Engineering, and next-generation VPNs.
• CCIE/CCNP or equivalent certification, or 15+ years with Cisco/Juniper and cryptographic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide design, development, deployment, and sustainment of transport services.
• Support AoA studies, white papers, and design studies for network changes.
• Guide optimization to improve performance and availability of transport networks.
• Deliver high-level guidance and integration advice on complex systems.
• Lead AoA studies to evaluate technical solutions.
• Author white papers on emerging network technologies and best practices.
