Job summary

Google is seeking a senior Network Engineer for Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) to help design, operate, and scale our global network fabric across multi-site environments. You will tackle complex routing, provisioning, and performance challenges, coordinating with multiple teams to ensure reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting with network equipment providers.
• Experience planning and designing networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products).
• Familiarity with EVPN-VXLAN and IPv6 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive impact for GDC across large projects or solving very deep technical problems.
• Provide deep insight and resolution of complex operational issues, and design processes to prevent recurrence.
• Anticipate scaling bottlenecks, improve network planning and data-driven optimizations, and increase availability.
• Coordinate or lead efforts across multiple teams and projects.
• Mentor team members and apply strong engineering principles to improve performance.
