Job summary

Spectrum is seeking an experienced Network Engineer III to design, optimize, and support complex network environments. You will plan architecture, troubleshoot routing, switching, security, voice, video, and wireless services while leading upgrades and improvements.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in network engineering, security, and protocol design, with hands-on work on Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, and Adtran platforms. Office-based role with potential for on-call and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field.
• 5+ years of data network experience with complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSI/TCP/IP and network protocols.

Responsibilities

• Participate in network planning, architecture design, and engineering.
• Integrate and depict communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols into complete network configurations.
• Evaluate new products, perform network problem resolution.
• Develop and document technical standards.
• Develop and implement approved methods of procedure.
• Design protocol compatibility standards and implement network enhancements.
• Work on medium to high complexity projects in planning, configuration and optimization.
• Provide escalated tier support across organizations and with vendors.
• Contribute as project team member or lead.
