Job summary

Garmac in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain complex data-center and LAN/WAN infrastructures onsite. You will install, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network devices, support SD-WAN, firewalls, switches, and load balancers, and collaborate with vendors to ensure service levels.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in technical network support, CCNP/CCNA or similar certs, and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Identify, diagnose, resolve escalated technical issues within service levels.
Provide data center floor support including installation, turn-up, maintenance, and decommissioning of equipment.
Review logs and monitor network health using SolarWinds and related tools.
Respond to outages and troubleshoot LAN/WAN environments, including after-hours on-call rotations.
Coordinate with vendors and field resources to support remote sites and advanced incidents.
Perform incident, problem, configuration, and change management activities.
Support network projects from design to deployment and lifecycle replacement.
Provide customer support by testing connections and turning up services.
Document issues, actions, and outcomes for future troubleshooting.
