Job summary

Swift Software in Manassas, VA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy and operate our Datacenter Network infrastructure in a DevOps/Agile environment.

You will work with Cisco ACI, APIC, and Nexus 9000; automate with Terraform/Ansible; support hybrid cloud and on-call rotations. Strong expertise in routing, security, and network automation is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years IT networking with 5+ years Cisco ACI, Tetration, NDO/NDI (or Orchestrator), APIC.
• Strong expertise in Cisco ACI, APIC operations, policy-based networking, and Nexus 9000.
• Experience with hybrid cloud integrations (AWS/Azure) and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, configure, upgrade, and maintain DataCenter Network Infrastructure per requirements.
• Deploy network infra and lifecycle management per change processes.
• Automate deployments and operate network deployments; maintain documentation.
• Respond to incidents at Level 2; perform root-cause analysis and remediation.
• Coordinate with Architecture, SOC, Security for integration; ensure audit docs.
• Hybrid work: minimum 2 days onsite, up to 3 days remote; participate in weekend deployments and on-call.

Research and Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, recommending upgrades or new tools to enhance network securityCommunication: Strong verbal and written skills in English to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersPerform the security integrity checks for Swift Enterprise Network Baseline compliance after major changesPreferred Qualifications:Good knowledge of Network Security: MACSEC / IPSEC, RADIUS, TACACS, 802.1x, ISEGood knowledge of Switching technologies: Spanning Tree, vPC, OTVGood knowledge of WLAN: APs, WLC, Prime Infrastructure, CMX.DNACFamiliarity with load balancing technologies like F5Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow tools for collaborationKnowledge/experience operating in Linux operating systemKnowledge of CI/CD pipeline and Automation technologies for build and deploymentFamiliarity with SD-WAN, Zero Trust architecture, QoSThe estimated salary range for a new hire in this position in Virginia is $101,000 USD Annual MINIMUM to $150,000 USD Annual MAXIMUM. Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
