Job summary

Capgemini in Chicago is seeking a Manager II (Network Engineer) to design, develop, and architect enterprise-wide data networks, spanning LANs, WANs, data centers, and cloud-integrated infrastructures. You will plan advanced routing, implement BGP and OSPF, and help ensure scalable, secure, high-availability networks.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of IT experience, with hands-on experience in Juniper SRX, Cisco Nexus, and FortiGate Firewalls.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent with 2 years IT experience.
Experience designing network configurations and security protocols with Juniper SRX, Cisco Nexus, and FortiGate.
Willingness to travel up to 5% and relocate as needed.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and architect enterprise-wide LAN/WAN and data center networks.
Plan and implement routing technologies (BGP/OSPF) for scalable networks.
Design and administer security architectures including firewalls and IPsec VPNs.
Configure network access control and authentication systems.
Deploy load balancing to ensure high availability and scalability.
Support data center migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
Analyze performance, perform capacity planning, and optimize architectures.
Prepare technical documentation and network diagrams; collaborate with teams.
