Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Data Networking, CS or related field.
• 3+ years in network engineering, operations, or large-scale troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing enterprise routing and switching (TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF/BGP, IPv6, QoS, and security).
• Experience planning production changes with rollback plans; risk communication.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and maintain configurations.
• Collaborative skills across engineering, operations, and field teams.
• Desired: JUNOS, ITIL, automation/tools; healthcare/university environment a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and sustain complex network installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Lead/execute complex change windows and post-change stabilization; coordinate with NOC.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls per engineering standards.
• Develop/review implementation-ready configurations and validate outcomes.
• Test new equipment/firmware to confirm compatibility with standards.
• Perform QA on installations, upgrades, and handoff documentation/as-builts.
• Coordinate with on-site staff; guide technicians during deployments.
