Job summary

SpaceX in Washington, DC seeks an experienced senior network engineer to build, deploy, and operate classified IT networks supporting national security missions. You will own network design, drive improvements, and enhance security, performance and reliability across campus and data center environments.

Primary responsibilities include leading design and troubleshooting, NAC deployment, automation, and documentation. Requires Top Secret/SCI/DOE clearance and willingness for travel.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional network engineering experience; or 10+ years without a degree.
• 1+ year deploying enterprise network solutions or cloud/web-scale networks.
• Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and troubleshooting of classified networks.
• Lead network integration and troubleshooting efforts.
• Improve network performance and reliability using performance metrics.
• Support capacity augmentation and network optimization deployments.
• Assist with system configuration updates and firmware management.
• Configure, install, and support campus and data center networks.
• Support NAC deployment using 802.1X.
• Build automation for network devices and deployment tools.
• Develop and enforce network policies and standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
