Gr8ttek seeks an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support enterprise networking for a major healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest. Vancouver, WA location with a six‑month contract‑to‑hire path, offering hands‑on work across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD‑WAN environments.

You will design, implement, and troubleshoot Cisco routing/switching, BGP/OSPF, and wireless networks, maintaining documentation and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Competenze

• 5–7 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN.
• Solid TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SNMP, NTP, QoS knowledge.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking incidents independently.
• Experience with network monitoring and packet capture tools.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Gr8ttek is seeking experienced Senior Network Engineers to support enterprise networking operations for a major healthcare organization in the Pacific Northwest.

Vancouver, WA (1 opening); 40-45/hour

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced networking professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, complex troubleshooting, and designing and maintaining reliable enterprise infrastructure.

Qualified candidates should have 5–7 years of experience supporting Cisco-based enterprise networks, with demonstrated expertise in routing, switching, wireless networking, and SD-WAN technologies.

This is a six-month contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, wireless access points, and network controllers.
• Implement and support routing protocols, including BGP and OSPF.
• Manage VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, QoS, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
• Diagnose complex connectivity, latency, packet-loss, routing, switching, and wireless performance issues.
• Monitor network availability, performance, and capacity.
• Perform configuration changes, firmware updates, device upgrades, and network maintenance.
• Support network incident response, change management, and service requests.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, IP/VLAN documentation, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, telecom, and desktop support teams.
• Assist with network optimization, technology refreshes, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Provide secondary desktop and laptop support as needed.
• Participate in on-call support rotations as required.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Cisco routing and switching experience.
• Demonstrated ability to configure and troubleshoot BGP and OSPF.
• Experience with enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environments.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, trunking, DNS, DHCP, NAT, SNMP, NTP, and QoS.
• Experience troubleshooting enterprise wireless networks.
• Ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex networking incidents.
• Experience using network monitoring, packet capture, and troubleshooting tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNA or CCNP certification.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst, Nexus, Viptela/SD-WAN, or Cisco Wireless.
• Experience with SolarWinds, Cisco Catalyst Center, ThousandEyes, or LogicMonitor.
• Experience with Wireshark and packet analysis.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS networking.
• Knowledge of Python, Ansible, Bash, or network automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
