Job summary

The CCNP Network Engineer at GDH provides advanced network engineering support for enterprise-wide modernization, on-site in Warren, MI. This full-time role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver upgrades, migrations, configurations, and troubleshooting while maintaining network stability and performance.

You will configure LAN/WAN, support cutover activities, develop documentation, monitor network performance, and drive improvements to standards and processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches with IOS/IOS-XE.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Warren, MI, five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Provide LAN and WAN support across enterprise and site-level network environments.
• Configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot switches and routers in accordance with established network standards and change management processes.
• Support site readiness assessments and coordinate pre- and post-cutover activities for network migrations and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, topologies, implementations, and changes.
• Support adherence to established network standards throughout refresh and migration activities.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Support network security protocols and monitor network performance and availability.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to coordinate network migrations, upgrades, and other infrastructure activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of network standards, processes, and technical documentation.
• Utilize network monitoring and diagnostic tools to support reliable network operations.
