Position Summary:

The Senior Network Engineer will develop, implement, and support network services and solutions for consulting clients. This position will build customer-focused relationships with clients to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution.

Roles and Responsibilities / Essential Functions:

• Work as a member of the HBS Network team as a leader and contributor, providing consultative and proactive project support to HBS’s account base.
• Collaborate and lead across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery and timely completion of scope of work.
• Research new products for selection, enhance configuration standards and best practices, and educate team members on these products and services to improve the sales process.
• Provide senior-level support, maintenance, and administration for customer networks, reviewing for potential concerns or enhancement opportunities.
• Maintain a positive team atmosphere between regional and virtual practices while upholding professionalism and respect.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of past projects to assist with time estimates and project scopes for new projects.
• Maintain current vendor/industry-specific certifications and stay updated on new products and solutions through networking resources.
• Minimum of 1,450 hours billed per fiscal year, prorated based on start date, balanced against professional development and on-the-job training.

• 3+ years in a technical-related field.

Required Skills, Education, and Certifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree, equivalent certifications, or work experience.
• CCNP, CCA-C, VCA-DV, MCA, or similar certifications.
• Experience designing and architecting network solutions.
• Supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network switching and routing products.
• IOS, IOS-XR, NX-OS experience and best practices.
• Routing Protocols: OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, L2 / L3 Architecture, Multicast, QoS.

Additional Skills and Certifications:

• At least two Associate level certifications.
• CCNP, CCP-V, VCAP-DCV, MCE or similar certifications.
• Supporting Cisco or HP/Aruba network products.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus technologies, SD-WAN, wireless solutions, and network security appliances.
• Familiarity with tools like Ekahau, Citrix NetScaler, and others listed.
