Job summary

Velocity Talent is hiring two Senior Network Engineers for a major public transit authority in Washington, DC. The role is hybrid, with 3–4 days onsite, and funded contract positions.

You will own senior enterprise network, telecommunications, voice, wireless, and emergency communications across a complex transit environment. Requirements include 8+ years in enterprise network engineering (MPLS, BGP, SIP, Cisco design), strong client communication, and formal PM.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise network engineering across MPLS, BGP, SIP, routers, telecom switches, Cisco network design
• Experience with wireless, VoIP, and e911 deployments in large organizations
• Strong client communication and technical writing with formal project management
• CCNP Enterprise or equivalent required; CCIE, Palo Alto, or Fortinet certifications highly desired
• U.S. visa status accepted; two openings

Responsibilities

• Own senior enterprise network, telecommunications, voice, wireless, and emergency communications engineering across a complex transit environment
• Lead design and implementation of enterprise networks across MPLS, BGP, SIP, and voice systems
• Collaborate with clients, draft SOWs, and manage projects end-to-end in a hybrid setup
