Job summary

HeartCentrix Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, automate, and support large-scale network environments. This hands-on role collaborates with engineers and network operations teams to plan, test, and smoothly implement changes.

You will lead design reviews, develop automation scripts, and build robust testing and documentation processes. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with Fortinet firewalls, Azure networking, and strong routing/switching skills,

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing, developing, and implementing large-scale network solutions in production environments.
• Experience with Fortinet firewalls and network security controls.
• Experience with network automation and scripting; strong Microsoft Azure networking experience.
• Solid understanding of routing and switching, with hands-on proficiency.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement network solutions that support business and project goals.
• Write network device configuration scripts and create the documentation needed for network changes.
• Implement network changes during scheduled change windows, including after-hours when needed.
• Review network designs and change documentation from other engineers and provide technical feedback.
• Build and improve testing processes to ensure applications and network devices are ready for deployment and performing as expected.
• Provide second-level support to the network operations team when issues arise.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for network support and escalations.
• Take business requirements and turn them into practical technical solutions.
• Manage small to medium-sized internal network projects from planning through implementation.
• Create detailed physical and logical network designs for complex environments.
• Provide technical guidance to other team members on data, voice, and mobile networking technologies.
• Look for opportunities to improve network performance, reliability, and automation.
