Garan, Incorporated is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize our global enterprise network and virtual infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance across LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, VMware, and Azure, while leading infrastructure initiatives and disaster recovery planning.

You will deploy and support Cisco hardware, manage virtual environments, and provide Tier III escalation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE, PCNSE, Network+, or Security+ preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, deploy, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and virtual networks.
• Administer and support VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and virtual switching.
• Manage Azure infrastructure including VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN/ExpressRoute, VMs, storage, and monitoring tools.
• Maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IOS/firmware upgrades.
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, network segmentation, IPS/IDS, and secure remote access.
• Monitor network and system performance with enterprise tools and plan capacity.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and data backups for VMware and storage.
• Provide Tier III escalation support and mentor junior IT staff.

Job Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and optimization of the organization's enterprise network and virtual infrastructure across domestic and international locations. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, VMware, Azure, and associated systems. The position provides technical leadership, supports disaster recovery planning, and leads strategic infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and virtual network environments
• Administer and support VMware environments including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and virtual switching
• Manage Azure infrastructure including VNets, subnets, NSGs, VPN/ExpressRoute connectivity, Azure VMs, storage, and monitoring tools
• Maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and related network hardware; upgrade IOS and firmware as required
• Implement and maintain firewall policies, network segmentation, IPS/IDS, and secure remote-access solutions
• Monitor network and system performance using enterprise monitoring tools and perform proactive capacity planning
• Support HP enterprise storage systems integrated with VMware infrastructures
• Perform data backups, disaster recovery planning, testing, and documentation
• Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Maintain documentation including network diagrams, standards, operating procedures, and disaster recovery plans
• Provide Tier III escalation support and mentor junior IT staff
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, support escalations, lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives
• Participate in after-hours support and on-call rotation as required

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise networking (BGP, OSPF, STP, QoS, IPsec)
• Strong experience with Cisco, SD-WAN platforms, Palo Alto or equivalent firewall technologies
• Advanced VMware vSphere administration and virtual networking expertise
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and hybrid connectivity
• Experience with HP enterprise storage platforms supporting virtual environments
• Strong understanding of network security architecture and compliance standards
• Proficiency with monitoring tools (Opmanager, Datadog, Logic Monitor, PRTG, Meraki, Wireshark, etc.)
• Experience integrating on-premises networks with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• Ability to design scalable, resilient, and redundant network architectures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive enterprise networking experience
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, NSE, PCNSE, Network+, or Security+ preferred

Special Requirements

• Ability to travel to domestic and international locations if required
• Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation and after-hours/weekend support as needed
• Demonstrated leadership ability and project management experience
