Job summary

A leading global provider of advanced space services is seeking a dedicated Senior Network Engineer to lead and execute Network Services for SSC's Global Network. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network engineering, particularly with Cisco products. Responsibilities include delivering new services, providing technical guidance, and enhancing network performance through automation. This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for 3 days in the office and 2 days remote work, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience in medium to large corporations.
• CCNP certification with progress toward CCIE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based initiatives to deliver new services for customers.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance across all SSC projects.

Requirements

As Senior Network Engineer, you'll lead, plan, and execute Network Services for daily operations and future development of SSC's Global Network, including security solutions with high-level automation for customer missions and internal SSC requirements. You'll work within a well-defined, global, and maintainable network architecture while ensuring customer network solutions are delivered on schedule with exceptional quality.

WHO YOU ARE

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of network engineering experience in medium to large corporations
• CCNP certification with progress toward CCIE preferred

Technical Skills

• Expert knowledge of Cisco products including routers, switches, access points, and firewalls
• Strong experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
• Solid understanding of routing protocols (BGP), switching, IP/VPN, and MPLS
• Fluent English communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco ISE, and Cisco wireless solutions
• Cisco Academy program or similar formal training

Responsibilities

• Lead project-based initiatives to deliver new services for customers and internal teams, including structured operational handovers.
• Provide senior-level technical guidance across all SSC projects, both internal and customer-facing.
• Support new customer onboarding and project initiatives in collaboration with SSC Business Development.
• Lead and execute internal Network Services initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
• Contribute to the development, optimization, and ongoing support of SSC’s global network and associated systems.
• Act as third-line technical support for the SSC organization and the Network Operations Center (NOC).
• Drive standardization of network services aligned with SSC operational requirements and industry best practices.
• Contribute to automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, and service reliability.
• Continuously enhance the performance, resilience, and security of the global network infrastructure.
• Ensure all Network Services systems and services are fully documented, maintained, and up to date.
• Participate in complex Network Services troubleshooting as required.
• Oversee and actively participate in preventive maintenance activities across network services.
• Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement network security controls, segmentation, and monitoring.
