Job summary

Genpact is seeking a senior network/security engineer to design, deploy, and troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN and Fortinet-based solutions for enterprise clients. You will handle 24x7 readiness, perform root cause analysis, and maintain security architectures across multi-site environments.

The role requires Fortinet FCSS/FCP/NSE-4-8 level credentials, strong routing know-how (eBGP/iBGP/OSPF), SD-WAN experience, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Fortinet FCSS/FCP/NSE-4-8 level certifications required or strongly preferred.
• Extensive experience with enterprise firewall design and security architectures.
• Proficient with routing protocols and modern network security practices.
• Experience with LAN/WAN, DHCP/DNS, VLANs, NAT, wireless tech and switches.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN and Zero Trust frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and transition firewalls, switches, access points for customers.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, VPN, firewall and VoIP, Fortinet focus.
• Create design docs, test plans, configuration templates and scripts.
• Perform root cause analysis of outages and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date industry certifications and security standards.
• Translate business requirements into network solutions; communicate clearly.
• Escalate issues to management/vendors when needed.
• Produce network diagrams and design documentation; Visio preferred.
• Work multi-site LAN/WAN with VLANs, MPLS, SSL, IPSEC.
• Stay current on threats and defenses; apply NIST CSF guidance as relevant.
• Travel as needed for engagement and client delivery.

This position will handle escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis of any problems that may arise out of IRs and/or proactive needs for business. The candidate, also must be flexible to work in 24 * 7 environments

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement and transition firewalls, switches, access points, and other network solutions to meet the needs of customers.
• Troubleshoots LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and VoIP equipment, including a broad range of devices (Predominantly Fortinet).
• Develop and maintain technical deliverables including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans configuration templates and scripts.
• Perform root cause analysis of critical outage and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date industry certifications.
• Understand business requirements and design solutions accordingly
• Resolve incidents, elevate to management and vendors if necessary
• Perform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3 and P4 incidents and/or proactively based on business needs
• Should have knowledge of Web-Proxy environment like Zscaler, McAfee Web proxy.
• Ensure service performance expectations are met with service levels and quality Raise/escalate any service-related issues and risks to management
• Provide guidance and support to team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Professional expert level certification for Fortinet FCSS, Fortinet FCP Fortinet NSE-4-8Strong understanding of routing protocols and network technologies (e.g., eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, trace route, Netflow).
• Advanced, hands‑on experience with Fortinet products: FortiGate,FortiManager, Fortinet Secure SDWAN, FortiAnalyzerexperience with network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.Professional or Expert level network certification is required.
• Fortinet FCSS, Fortinet FCP, Fortinet NSE 4-8Professional or Expert level network certification is preferred.
• (Cisco, Checkpoint)Must have extensive experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise‑grade firewall solutions, with proficiency in network security architectures.
• Must understand routing protocols and network technologies (e.g., eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, trace route, Netflow).
• Must have expertise in LAN/WAN administration, including configuring DHCP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, wireless technologies, and switches, with strong proficiency in network security integration.
• Required expertise in network engineering and security firewall architecture; proficiency with Zero Trust frameworks is a bonus.
• Essential to author and adhere to defined network processes and procedures.
• Should produce accurate network diagrams and detailed design documentation for implementation; proficiency with Visio is highly desired.
• Required to have expertise in architecting, designing, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN network solutions; proficiency with SD‑WAN networking is preferred.
• Essential to demonstrate experience designing and deploying multi‑site network environments with VLANs, MPLS, SSL, and IPSEC.
• Required to maintain up-to-date expertise in modern security threats and defenses, integrating security into network designs; proficiency with NIST CSF or similar standards is highly desired.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a broader team to achieve objectives.
• Able to clearly communicate detailed technical concepts in both oral and written formats.
• Proven track record in guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.
• Experience with Pulse Secure Access Gateway. Hands on‑experience with Citrix NetScaler ADC Load balancers.
• Must be willing to travel when needed.

The approximate annual base compensation range for this position is $55,000 to $68,500.
