Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber in McLean, Virginia, is seeking a senior Network Engineer to design and maintain scalable, secure networks across on-premises and cloud environments.

You will deploy LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, configure routers and firewalls, support Azure and OCI, and collaborate with security and engineering teams to deliver enterprise-grade connectivity. This role requires US citizenship and offers a hybrid work arrangement with occasional in-office days (1–2x per month).

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• CCNA/CCNP/CCIE highly desired.
• Deep experience as a Cisco-based Network Engineer.
• 7+ years in infrastructure, networking, and cloud engineering.
• 5+ years designing and supporting Azure and/or OCI environments.
• Expertise with BGP, MPLS, and common networking protocols.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, routing, and security.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud deployments in highly available environments.

The Dedicated Network Engineer will be participating in designs, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting an organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity between users, systems, data centers, and cloud environments. They can expect to work in an environment with multiple projects simultaneously running and partner with our Director of Managed Services to deliver worldclass engineering solutions.

Most of the work will be remote, however some in‑office requests will be made (1-2x per month).

What You'll Do:

• Design and deploy LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking solutions
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs

• Support cloud networking environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

What You Have:

• US Citizenship is required upon hire
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly desired.
• Deep experience as a Cisco based Network Engineer
• 7+ years of infrastructure, networking, and cloud engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience designing and supporting Microsoft Azure and/or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments.
• Expertise with BGP, MPLS, and common networking protocols.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, DNS, routing, firewall design, and network security.
• Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise‑scale cloud deployments in highly available environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, architecture, and security teams in complex enterprise environments.
