Motion Recruitment seeks a Senior Network Engineer in Irving, TX to join the Network Infrastructure & Engineering team. The role focuses on design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure across data centers, offices, and cloud environments.

You will deliver Tier 3 support, drive migrations, and ensure high availability, security, and performance while coordinating with vendors and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience administering enterprise networks.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in network design, planning, connectivity, and migration.
• Strong knowledge of core network protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, UDP, STP, HSRP).
• Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or F5 platforms.
• Active industry certifications (CCNP/CCIE/JNCIS/JNCIP) or IT degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Our client, a leader in retail, convenience, and fuel operations, is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join its Network Infrastructure & Engineering team in Irving, TX!

**This is a 1-year W2 contract with benefits**

This role is responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical enterprise network infrastructure. You will deliver advanced Tier 3 support, execute seamless network migrations, and ensure maximum performance, security, and high availability across corporate, data center, and cloud network environments.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Tier 3 technical support and advanced troubleshooting for enterprise network infrastructure, diagnosing complex issues and resolving incidents through the IT ticketing system.
• Lead and execute network design, planning, connectivity, and migration initiatives across enterprise and cloud network architectures to ensure high availability.
• Install, configure, and maintain enterprise network hardware and cabling infrastructure across corporate offices and data centers.
• Perform scheduled network maintenance, hardware upgrades, service packs, and security patches in strict adherence to change management procedures to prevent business disruption.
• Conduct proactive network performance monitoring, trending, and capacity planning across LAN, WLAN, MAN, and WAN topologies.
• Partner and collaborate closely with third-party vendors and carriers to drive network reliability, participating in an on-call rotation for escalations and after-hours support as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience administering, supporting, and troubleshooting large-scale enterprise networks.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience specifically focused on network design, planning, connectivity, and migration.
• Deep technical proficiency with core network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, UDP, STP, and HSRP.
• Hands-on operational experience with enterprise networking platforms such as Cisco, Juniper, or F5.
• Active industry networking certifications (such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIS, or JNCIP) or a degree in Information Technology or a related field are highly preferred.
