Job summary

Toyota Tsusho America, Inc. in Kentucky seeks a strategic designer and senior network engineer to architect and manage enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and VPNs. You will lead projects, mentor staff, and align technology with business goals.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing networks, diagnosing issues, monitoring performance, ensuring security, and coordinating cross-team resolution. Domestic travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of server administration experience.
  • CCNP and PCNSE certifications.
  • Ability to be on-call rotation for after-hours requests.
  • Travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructure and services.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Continuously monitor system performance, diagnose Tier1 issues, and implement solutions to maintain high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and maintain security measures, conduct audits, and enforce policies.
  • Serves as the escalation point for complex technical issues, coordinating timely resolution across teams, and documenting root causes and preventive actions.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure continuous support.

Summary

A strategic designer, project leader, and advanced troubleshooter for enterprise network infrastructure. Responsible for architecting, deploying, and managing routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems, and VPN solutions to ensure enterprise-grade security, performance, and reliability. Leads complex projects, mentors junior staff, establishes network policies, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to align technology with organizational objectives.

What You'll Do
  • Design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructure and services
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues and performance bottlenecks
  • Continuously monitor system performance, diagnose Tier1 issues, and implement solutions to maintain high availability and reliability
  • Implement and maintain security measures, conduct audits, and enforce policies
  • Serves as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing troubleshooting, coordinating timely resolution across teams, and documenting root causes and preventive actions
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure continuous support, and when off rotation, remain available to receive, triage, and coordinate with other teams
  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by TAI from time to time in its sole discretion
What You Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 7+ years of specialized experience in server administration.
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Ability to be on call rotation for after hours requests
  • Travel up to 20%
